BENJAMIN LINDSAY

"I’m a painter and printmaker living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from the San Francisco bay area, I’ve made New York my home and the muse for much of my creative work."

In printmaking, a press isn’t only the tool that makes the print, it’s part of the printmaker’s identity. Naming it is a way of marking that the work comes from a particular hand and vision. It creates continuity across different projects and editions, and places the work within a long tradition of independent studios and printmakers who’ve done the same. For me, Long Walk Press is that signature, under which all of my printed work lives.
